Phoenix Metal Venetian Side Sword
Original: Venice, circa 1490
This is a quarter hilt Venetian sword. Two distinct aspects to this design are the steel grip and a wide back-blade with double fullers down the spine. The single-edged blade, made by
Del Tin Armi Antiche of Italy, is heavy and broad enough to justify classifying it as a side sword.
