Original: Italian circa 1625, Wallace Collection, London
Heavily roped swept hilt in steel; complex twisted wire-bound grip crowned with Turk's heads; three rings on the foreguard complimented by a four bar inner guard.
The Italian original dates about 1625, though this style was seen as early as the 1580s.
Has a black leather scabbard with decorative chape and a matching
parrying dagger.
