This very unique item, often referred to as an early swagger stick, is an example of a riding crop with a hidden sword blade within it. The brass handle, when looked at in profile, is supposedly modeled after Napoleon's profile (illustrated in the last photo). The blade locks within the leather crop by means of a piece of spring steel. One must simply push a "button" on the locket of the sheath to release the blade.
Overall length: 23.75" long (21.25" without leather crop)
Blade: 18.25"
Grip length: 3"

Maker: Oscar Kolombotavich.
