Cold Steel Grosse Messer
Original: Central and Northern Europe 15-16th century
This
grosse messer (meaning "Big Knife") has a very sharp, heavy, wide blade with a single edge and a clipped point. The grip is fitted with rosewood scales covering its full tang. The guard and pommel are made of steel, blued to a grayish black color. A deep fuller extends halfway down the very sharp blade's length.
Has a wooden scabbard, covered in black leather and finished with blued steel fittings.
