Albion Armorers Castellan

Next Generation line, the Castellan has an Oakeshott
Type XVa blade. Based on swords found in the Castillon find, it is a hand and a half sword that truly feels just as well in one hand as it does in two. Such swords were used by mounted knights as well as carried by foot soldiers to supplement longer-range weapons such as spears.
The Castellan has a very broad base that tapers drastically to a very fine point designed for thrusting into the gaps of plate armour. The broad base is deceptive in making the sword appear bulky and slow, yet it is one of the most nimble and quick swords in my collection. While the thrusting nature of this sword is fairly obvious due to the wicked point, it still can cut quite effectively, as would be often needed against lightly armoured opponents.
