|
|
Hello everyone. I'm new - both here as well as to armours. Details of armours.
I have tried to read everything here - in search of an answer to my problem... If anyone could help - or point where to search for the answer - I would be grateful...
I am helping my friends to translate the website for the Grunwald Battle - and I am stuck...
it is all about the leg protection.
I mean the greave and cuisse. In the times of Grunwald there were some leather ones - neatly modelled, with metal (steel) straps (it looks as if they were adorned with steel straps)...
No, I know how to call them in Polish, but I have no idea how to call them in English...
I can't find the name for them - and I have to be accurate, as this appears in the Polish version of the Battle regulations.... So I have to translate it precisely...
I would be very grateful if anyone could help.
I am attaching a picture of what I mean
best regards
Katarzyna

Hey,
I think you mean splints? Try searching "splinted armour" to check if it's correct.
