Angus Trim AT1592 Danish Longsword
Original: 15th century Denmark
Angus Trim developed this sword with inspiration from the Oakeshott
Type XVIIIe familya type that is uniquely Danish. The most characteristic thing about this type of sword is the long, narrow ricasso that could be grabbed to shorten the blade's length for close combat.
This is a very large weapon, though it feels amazingly light in the hands. The fittings are non-historical, taking a more modern machine-made look, but the sword handles and performs excellently. The blade sails through targets such as soaked tatami mats and can quickly change directions mid cut. Part of this agility owes to the very long grip, which allows for great leverage.
