Here are the hard-to-find-at-a-reasonable-price Wallace Collection Catalogs--I have the same ones published in 1962 and 1963. A great reference indeed:

Wallace Collection Catalog Vol. 1 (Armor)

Wallace Collection Catalog Vol. 2 (Arms)

Here is a German executioners sword:

http://cgi.ebay.com/German-Executioner-s-Swor...dZViewItem

By the way, could anyone give me any information on these types of swords? I've seen others like this one in different auctions and they have always interested me, but I'm afraid I dont know much about them.

Richard,
If you'd like more general information on that type of sword, please post a new topic in the Historic Arms Talk forum. This thread is simply for pointing people to items on Ebay.

AMERICAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE CAVALRY SWORD c 1760
Original Mid 18th Century English Small Sword
Beautiful Smallsword Circa 1730

Here are three antiques offered by the same fellow, H Withers:
UNUSUAL FRENCH(?) C.1750 LIONSHEAD HUNTING SWORD

C.1750 MILITARY HUNTING HANGER SWORD #2

Albion Arms Crecy War Sword w/ custom scabbard and case
(note - this is a first generation Albion Mark)
--------------------------------------------------------
Can't read German, so I can't read the details, but perhaps this purports to be genuine?:
MEDIEVAL SWORD
-------------------------------------------------------
EFTIS:LARGE GREEK Rat-Tail SWORD : CRETE 1200BC N/R!
------------------------------------------------------
ANATOLIAN BRONZE SWORD, 900 BC
Note the tang - seems to me like a much-later iron age/medieval sword.

That one is lovely!

And Ed Toton - thanks for the translation! So that "Medieval Sword" listing is actually supposed to be a casting of St. Olaf's sword. Cool.

I saw that and I want it. Anyone wanting to donate to myArmoury.com could consider that sword a good choice.
