I'm selling my never-used, slightly modified Practical Scottish baskethilted broadsword (model # SH2059).
Only modifications were to remove the red lining (chafed against my hand). I still have the red lining, and could put it back in if buyer should so wish. I think it looks better without it, but that's my sense of aesthetics. I also tried to remove the metal throat on scabbard to no success, so there are some marks on the piece where my pliers tried to pull it off.
The sword is in otherwise like-new condition. It balances very well, feels very light. Grip is quite comfortable. Scabbard is included, but is leather covered with plastic.
Sells new from By the Sword at ~$200. I am asking $150 shipped to lower 48.

Sorry, but this item is no longer for sale. However, to answer your question, the hilt has a black paint or something like that on it.
