Hi,
I've got a new blade with a point that's about 70 mm long and about 30 mm wide. It's the same curve on both sides, pointy but not a stiletto; shaped more like that Hanwei Saxon sword.

Since I make all my own scabbards, and I've learned not to start until I have the chape on my bench, I'm looking for a chape. The ones of Tod's that I like are backordered, and communication from anyone else is scant at best.

Is there an American, preferably (not nationalistic, just trying to save on shipping) maker from whom I can get a chape? I'd prefer a fairly plain one, not some Viking-style nest of snakes, but not something that looks like it came out of a CNC machine, either.

Do you make them? Do you know who does? Will that person answer an email?

Cheers,
