This listing is for a very nice Scottish basket-hilted broadsword made by in Scotland! I have decided to have a custom sword made, so I am selling some of my collection. This sword has a blunt unsharpened blade, and a steel basket. It weighs only 3 pounds 2 ounces and has a 29 1/2 inch blade, which is 1 1/2 inch wide at the hilt. There is a leather pad between the basket, and the top of the handle, the handle is wrapped with leather, and has very nice spiral groove pattern. The tang appears to be peened. This sword also comes with a black leather covered scabbard, with a brass throat and chape (the scabbard was not made for this sword, but it will hold it tightly, it does not have a belt hook or stud.)
