Here's an example of a more rare example of the Austrian M1861, which differs from the 29 inch dress sword variant and the Field Officers 33 inch blade sabre. It has 28 inch blade, with a very slender profile taper and a nice distal taper, it also has a nicely done service edge.
The scabbard is in very good condition with almost essentially no plating loss, and still retains it's wooden slats, however I have taken them out in order to clean the inside of the scabbard.
The blade has no loss to plating aside from the spots of corrosion that are pictured, and the guard has no plating loss at all. The grip still retains all of its shagreen and nodules, and the wiring is still intact as well. As an added bonus the grip remains quite dark as well.
It weighs in at 1 pound 3 ounces, and the scabbard weighs just over 11 ounces.
Going to upload pictured after work. His Imperial and Royal Majesty Hordan Vilhelm the Great, by the Grace of God, German Emperor and King of Prussia, Margrave of Brandenburg, Burgrave of Nuremberg, Count of Hohenzollern, Duke of Silesia and of the County of Glatz, Grand Duke of the Lower Rhine!
