A quick shout out to Albion. Last week, I returned my Maximilian to have their half-wire grip treatment added. Mike Sigman gave me a completion time of "A week, possibly less." Albion received the sword yesterday and I just got a shipping notice from FedEx. Talk about a quick turnaround. I know Albion's had their hands full training up a new shop crew and trying to wade through hundreds of back orders, so a big thanks to my favorite cheese heads for getting this done so quickly.

If you're up for sharing photos and/or your impressions of the half-wire treatment when it arrives, I doubt I'm the only person here who'd be interested...
Nice to hear about your experience. I feel like Mike and co work really hard to provide good service; I bet it feels great to pull off the quick turnaround.

Sure. I'm having a scabbard made for this one and I was going to wait to photograph everything at one time, but it's nine months out on the scabbard. I'll post up some pics after I receive it.

In a similar props to Albion note... a couple years ago, I called asking how to get some rust off of my sword, and they suggested scotch bright.. I went to the nearest Hardware store (I was living in quite remote area at the time), and they didn't have any but suggested steel wool or fine sandpaper. I called Albion back just to ask what grit wool/paper I should buy to match the sword's polish and Mike answered. He was pretty shocked and insisted I not do that! He knew my address from my last order and said to just wait a couple days, he was going to mail me some scotch bright (they even sent a little jar of oil with it, if I recall).
Talk about customer service! It has always made me think really well of Mike/Albion.
