Notes about the Author
Edwin John Brett (1827-1895) is a former editor, whom, after the death of his wife became fully immersed in historical arms and armour, producing this work. . The collection, which was said to be "one of the largest private collections of early arms and armour ever formed", was sold through Christie's in March 1895 for £30,000.
Notes and Price
I am asking £1,200.00 for this wonderfully rare, totally original first edition book (though offers are welcome).
Images can be found here (apologies they are a little dark, they were taken at night and really don't do justice to the wonder gilt or vibrancy of the pages/engravings): https://www.flickr.com/photos/124281411@N04/albums/72157677929816433
No missing pages or bends. Everything is as it should be, bar some visible wear to the leather documented in the pictures.
A previous copy of this book old previously at Christies for £2,750, see the link below.

Price is inclusive of worldwide insured postage.
