Here's a good example of a non regulation officers sword. Nothing but the grip is the same as a normal M1882, the blade is light and feels like a militarized smallsword, very fast and would be a deadly thruster.
Now for the bad side. The hilt is somewhat loose, and there's a crack in the grip, but the crack doesn't seem to make a huge difference.
The hilt is beautifully formed and is elegant, and really speaks of the early 20th century art styles.
The monogram on the backstrap adds a personal flair and really makes it even more unique in my opinion.
