Here are the hilt components I considered matching with this blade to create something in the spirit of a 16th c. spada da lato like the De Valette sword: https://medievalswordmanship.wordpress.com/2013/06/21/the-de-valette-16th-century-sword/

Alchem spherical pommel--small factory hole drilled about 2/3 through. Easily drilled through, easily filed and worked. You can see some of my Sharpie sketches on the surfaces.

The guard is Windlass/MRL. It does not currently fit the tang. You'll have to shorten and file the tang to fit, and possibly inlet the underside of the guard to match the blade. You might also create a ricasso and you'll at least want to blunt the edges between the rings.

You'll also have to make a grip, of course.

Overall, I would say that this is an advanced project.
