This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available

Hello!

I purchased these blade blanks from Albion's various moat sales, and I've decided that I really don't have the skill to finish them off. They really need someone with more experience than myself, and I would like to see them go to a good home.

All the blades are are un-heat treated and will bend very easily at this stage (I can give them a permanent set over my knee with ease). All are partially ground and show signs of machining marks. I have cleaned off the majority of the rust with which they came, however there are still some tough spots which remain. There is also extensive pitting on the surfaces.

From left to right, the swords are as follows:

Side Sword (possibly for the Machiavelli/Kern): 36” overall
Great Sword (Archduke or Maximillian): 55.5” overall
Single hand sword (unknown model): 40.5” overall
Training Messer: 36.5” overall
Longsword (originally marked as Crecy, apparently an earlier version is it is very different from the current Albion Crecy): 45.5” overall

There may be slight warping in the blades, the most severe of which is in the greatsword. I have attached pictures of the greatsword’s warp from both sides.

Edges on all the swords are un-ground and about 1mm thick, except for the training messer which is 5mm thick at the edge. Additional pictures below show a close up of one of the edges, along with others of the machining marks and remnants of rust.

If you are interested in any of these blades please post a reply or send me a PM.

Cheers!

The single hander, arming sword and messer are still available. I thought I'd give them a bump, along with a price drop.

If you are interested in more than one, I can give you an additional discount as well.

Single Hander: $175
Arming sword: $45
Messer: $30

S&H is $10 per blade, or $20 for any two or more blades together.
