I am looking to sell my Albion Squire Line Great Sword (this is an older MkI model, so the guard is different than is currently offered by Albion) along with a scabbard for it. The sword has some noticeable pitting from an unfortunate accident where I got rubber cement on the blade without realizing (see pictures). Despite this, the sword is still sound and usable, it just isn't quite as nice a display piece (unless you went further and antiqued it, I guess). I also re-wrapped the grip and sharpened the sword. I have included some pictures comparing the bevel on my sword to an Albion Squire Line Knightly sword that was factory sharpened.
The scabbard was made by me using the techniques and processes that I observed on a visit to Albion. This is essentially an Albion-quality scabbard, but it was not made by Albion. I am a hobbyist, not a professional, so, despite how good I feel this scabbard is, I am not comfortable selling it at Albion prices.
I am asking $750 shipped and insured in the Continental US for the sword with scabbard. I would prefer to sell both items together, but would be willing to sell them separately (see note below). If I sell them separately, I am asking $450 for the sword and $350 for the scabbard (each price includes insurance and shipping in CONUS). Please PM me if you are interested.
Sorry; I am not interested in trades.
NOTE: As noted above, I would prefer to sell the sword and scabbard together. As a result, if I get an offer for just one of them, I will wait 24 hours from the time I respond to the initial offerer in order to see if anyone else expresses interest in the set. If, in that 24 hours, someone offers to buy the set, I will sell to them, but if no one expresses such interest, I will sell the requested item to the initial offerer and update this listing with a note about which item is sold/available.

Pitting on blade. I fee that this picture exaggerates the issue, but compare it to the other pictures and see what you think. [ Download ]

Pitting with camera flash turned on. Obviously, the flash washes out some of the pitting, but if you look to either side, I feel this picture is a little more true to life. [ Download ]

Comparison of sharpening. SL Great Sword on left, SL Knightly (sharpened by Albion) on right. [ Download ]

another comparison of sharpening. this time the SL Great sword is on the right and the SL Knightly is on the left. I was afraid the lighting might affect how well you could see one bevel or the other - hence two pictures. [ Download ]
