This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
The sword that A&A based their Schloss Erbach on resides in the Oakeshott collection, which the guys at A&A have access too.
I asked them to make this sword as close to the original as possible using the original's dimensions and handling characteristics. I think they did a fine job.
Unlike the production model this sword has a reshaped grip and a wider blade that matches the original. The sword is excellent condition. Never cut with. Only dry handled.
A&A Custom Schloss Erbach
Overall length: 45"
Weight: 3.4 pounds
Width of guard: 9.25"
Blade: 36" long from cross; 2.25" wide tapering to 1"
Grip and pommel: 8.75" long
Point of Balance (PoB): 6.1" from cross
I'm asking $1,000 shipped for the sword. This price will not go down. I will not take any less for this sword but if you want, I'll allow you to buy it for more than what I'm asking ;-)
Paypal is the preferred method of payment but I will accept check or money order. PM me if interested.
And now for some of my stupendously bad pics that don't do the sword any justice: Attachment: 100.73 KB

For comparison purposes, attached are a pic of the original taken from the Oakeshott Institute's website and a pic of the current production model from A&A. You can clearly see the differences between these two sword and the similarities between the original and the one that I am offering for sale. Attachment: 30.03 KB

For anyone who might be interested in this sword, note that A&A's standard version is selling at $941shipped. For an additional $59 you are getting a reworked grip and custom blade.

Price drop to $890.00. Free shipping to Continental US. This is the current price of the production A&A version without the additional shipping. If you have been thinking about buying an Erbach then this is the version you want as it is closer to the original with a wider blade and reshaped grip.
