Selling a couple of axes due to collection getting a bit too big. This one is my personal favorite, an Axe by J. Austin. One of his axes is reviewed in this site, or you can visit his website at Forged Axes.com. This is one of his very early axes, when he was experimenting with the Y split form of the eye. Extremely sharp, has only cut tatami mats, glides right through them. Solid and aesthetically beautiful.
The best thing about this axe is the tonal balance. Meaning if you tap it gently against anything metal, it actually rings, just like a tuning fork. Can only assume that's from how well he crafted it. It's pretty amazing, never had a weapon anything like it. I wouldn't be selling this at all if I didn't need to save for an another axe I've been on his wait list for (over a year now, and completely worth it. Can't undersell the time and craftsmanship that go into these).
Looking for $600, what I originally paid for it about 2 years ago.
