For sale is a British Pattern 1897 Infantry Officer's Sword retailed by Ranken & Co. which belonged to Lt. Francis Carey Head of the 6th Jat Light Infantry. The sword is ID'd to Head based on the initial on the leather sword bag which accompanies the sword. The sword is still quite solid, but there are some losses to the fish skin grip and there are some dark patches on the blade. The sword also has its original brown leather service knot and scabbard.
