This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
Hello,
I'm selling the customized Del Tin 2130 pictured below. I have another version and don't need two of them!
Here is Angus Trim's review of the classic version: http://swordforum.com/summer99/dt2130.html
In mine, the curved guard has been replaced by a straight guard (see picture). It also has a slightly longer grip of 4". You would either wait a long time and pay full price to get a customized version direct from Del Tin, or pay for the sword and the customization to do it yourself. I was able to do this on the cheap because someone owed me a favor...so I will pass it along at cost ($310 + shipping). For reference, last month I shipped a similar sword the USA and it cost $30, presumably less within Canada.
Paypal is my preferred method. Please PM with interest. I might not be available for a day or two, so if more than one person responds in the mean time I will take the first to respond with my asking price, or the better offer.
Thanks for looking, JD

Let's try this 'TV-style' offer:
For a limited time (one week from this post), for the same price, I will include a brown Windlass medeval double wrap belt for no extra cost. (Its a belt suspension system that fits most scabbards). Its unworn and still has one of the store tags on it. You can check its appearance and price at most major sword retailers.

Well, I'm afraid the weeks up on the free belt offer. Thanks to those of you who have expessed interest, but no takers yet.
Good news is that I'm now dropping the price to $300 including free shipping within continental USA & Canada (just the sword).

Now dropping the price to $280, including free shipping within continental USA and Canada.
That's as low as I'm willing to go at this time.

I'll keep this one on the market for a while more in case someone wants to buy themselves or a friend a nice Christmas Gift.
However, I can't drop the price anymore - it's not that I'm too hung up on the money, but I don't want to devalue the pre-owned sword market. You'd have to pay at least twice as much to buy and modify a new Del Tin, plus shipping back and forth and perhaps sharpening. So it stays at $280 (including shipping within continental North America).
One reason I put this up for sale is that I ran out of display space, but owing to the vagaries of family space needs, I got my home office back. Hurray! I know this is irrelevant to you, but maybe not if I change my mind later and decide to keep it.
Finally, I have had more inquiries, without a sale, on this one that I can recall getting on past sales. The most common question is 'is it sharp'. The answer is no - it has the original Del Tin edge. I don't want to go through the effort of sharpening it and then find out the first serious buyer wants it blunt. If you want it sharp, doing it yourself could be part of the fun.
Forgive the diatribe - and please give this nice sword a new home for Christmas. It deserves more love than I can give it right now.
