In response to some questions about stats!
Overall length: 84 inches.
Length of blade to base of socket: 27 inches.
Langets extend 32.5 more inches down the haft.
Weight: about 6 pounds.
Handling: Like most pole weapons, this thing is more bulldog than swallow.
This glaive does not strike me as a fencing weapon, rather I suspect it either beats you with reach or it simply moves a lighter weapon aside and goes about its business. It can be nimble enough, but I think its about a different game (in my admittedly limited and subjective opinion). Its a spear of course, and more. The weapon is also an effective lever. Its not heavy unless you want it to be, by working one end of the fulcrum. There can be reasons for doing and wanting that, to generate more force for instance, much more force in fact. The blade is also robust. Can't say for sure if it would punch through plate, it very well might, but I'm confident it could drive through anything lighter.
At the end of the day, this glaive is a big knife on a stick. Perhaps not all that romantic, but I rather suspect it would be so very effective at its intended task of butchery, which is exactly what its supposed to be.

I really hate reducing rapid fire like this but the air conditioner is dead after 11 years and its looks like we're buying a new one instead of trying to get it fixed. that is expensive, its hot, and this does not make my week a good one!
