I'm ordering one of these bare blades, either EMSHS or Longsword, but I can't decide which. I usually like more cut oriented blades so EMSHS would suit me better but I would also like to try cutting with a more thrust oriented sword and see if I can get good enough to successfully cut with such a sword. What do you guys think, is a H/T Longsword good for a first sword of such a type to try cutting with? I had Windlass 15th century longsword few years ago but it was much more cutting oriented and a heavier blade than H/T Longsword.
Basically, please share your experiences with both swords so that I can decide easier which one is for me. Wink Eventually I might buy both blades but that will last quite a while, I blew most of my sword money recently...

Certainly. Even more since it was quite cheap. Unknown local smiths can make some very good stuff if you give them a good precise sketch and they are much cheaper than big names... Happy
