This is an *extremely* rare book. This book is from a collection of a man who collected swords and armor (and obviously books) throughout the 20's and 30's. He traveled the world and enjoyed visiting museums as well as private collections. And with each trip he brought back various things. This is one of the first things I'm putting up for sale by his widow.
This book was published by order of King Edward VII and has the seal of King Edward VII on the cover. It is the "European Section" of the Windsor Armoury compiled by Francis Laking, keeper of the King's royal armoury. Published in 1919. It is *fantastic*.
This book is virtually impossible to find as it was obviously a limited printing (published in 1919). And by one of the greats of his time. On one of the greatest collections of European armour. Full of black and white plates with descriptions.
The book is old. The binding is broken at the cover and the book will need TLC. It basically sat in a high, dark bookshelf for the last 60 years untouched.
