Hi All,
post 3 of 3 of sharp and pointies that I'm selling:
Gladius
High carbon-steel blade which I have sharpened and given a rough polish to in order to get rid of the shiny-shinyness it had originally. Camel bone grip, exotic hardwood upper and lower pommel, secured by a brass nut.
Comes with a wooden, leather-covered scabbard and brass fittings. I’m also giving away free a Denix Roman Dagger, as I have no use for it. The dagger is typically Denix: solidly cast from an ‘unsharpenable’ alloy.
Asking £40 + p&p – a bargain for what is a nice, solid sword with scabbard and at the very least a good start for a custom project.
(Modified) Windlass Pirate Captain Hanger
This originally came with a ‘blued’ finish on the sword and scabbard furniture. This started to wear away, so I took it all off to find a nice bronze-like alloy underneath. I also removed the black paint/dye on the scabbard and oiled and waxed it. As the grip stitching was coming off, I also removed it totally to show the bare wood underneath.
So what you now have is a bronze-furnitured wooden gripped and brown leather scabbarded cutlass. The only problem is a slight movement in the grip – probably from when the securing leather was removed. I’m therefore asking £120 for it, + p&p.
Denix Italian Percussion Pistol
Perhaps a nice companion piece for the above hanger: perfectly legal, non-firing, working cocking action percussion pistol replica. Very Pirates of the Carribbean!
As new, asking £20 +p&p
As well as the above, I also have a pair of chrome sai; a pair of wooden-handled Kama (unsharpened); and a large kukri. Please see pictures below. I’m asking £20 for the sai; £10 for the kama; and £20 for the Kukri, all + p&p. If nothing else, they’d look nice on the wall!
Thanks for looking,
Ant
