I have a rivetted chainmail hauberk for sale and includes rivetting links, rivets and tools. The links are round sectioned 8mm ungalvanized, the hauberk reaching down to just above my knee level (im 6ft tall). The sleeves reach down just past my elbows (two thirds of my arm length is covered).
I bought this as part of a project to tailor a shirt to my size, however what with my uni degree and fieldwork during the summer I unfortunately I have no real time to persue this.
I HAVE begun work on altering this hauberk cutting a strip off of the bottom of the arm and the armpit so that the left arm hangs open at the bottom. This is an ideal purchase for anyone with a project in mind to tailor chainmail to create a more authentic ringshirt.
I originally paid £350 for the hauberk, and an extra £100 for 2 KG's of extra links, rivets and a rivetting tool.
Therefore im offering the lot for £370 with around £30-40 postage to the UK. (or collection from London)
Postage outside the UK will have to be discussed. Email me at frostbittenaxe@hotmail.com for more details... photos will be posted if interest is made.
Cheers

Forgot to mention a couple of things...
The spare links i bought had a coating of galvanize on them so as you can see from the pics I have stripped it off half of them using a hydrochloric acid mixture and them I dunked them in oil. This has left them looking almost black but im sure they will look more like the rest of the hauberk once some of the oil has rubbed off. The rest of the rings can easily be stripped with any hydrochloric acid based cleaning agent mixed with water and left for 10 mins.
The arm which I have altered seems way too thin however this is because I was intending to start tapering it to make it get gradually thicker the further up it goes. The other arm as you can see is reasonably baggy. The pattern I am using is based on the mail shirt from the Wallace collection. A detailed explanation of the alterations can be seen here:

Hope this helps,
