This is Bruno Thomas' look at some of the very best of arms and armour (with Gamber and Schedelmann), from the 13th century to the 18th century. It's a large book with many high quality photographs of fine arms and armour, many linked to kings and other nobles. Some pics are black and white; some are colour. The best pics are printed on better photo paper and glued in individually (called "Tipped-in plates"). Each piece depicted (97 in total) is described in text. It's a great book, published in 1963/64. This is the English version (there is also a German one).
The book is in good shape for its age. The dust jacket has wear around the edges, but no major rips or tears apart from a 2-inch tear near the dust jacket's spine. I've wrapped the dust jacket in a clear archival protector to stabilize it and protect it from further harm. The book cover underneath is sun-faded just a bit and the page edges are beginning to yellow just a bit, as you'd expect from a 45+ year old book. Structurally sound in every way and ready to give a few decades more enjoyment to someone.
Copies often are listed for $60-$80. Many of those are ex-library and/or lacking DJ. This one is not ex-lib and has its jacket intact. Asking $57 + s/h. Money order accepted, PayPal preferred (please add 3% of total for PayPal transactions).
