This listing has been REMOVED and is no longer active
I have an almost complete 15th century-pattern harness made by Mercenary's Tailor for a guy 6'3" and around 210#. It could be modified to fit other sizes I'm sure but ask your own armourer before deciding for yourself. The stuff is all 16 gauge and has a satin finish. Most of it was custom upgraded by the maker and has file-work and fancy hardware and buckles not found on their stock items.I have provided links to their closest stock items in my post here so you can check each item out for price and appearance on the makers own website.
It has been trained in so there are a few scuffs, dings and a small bit of surface rust here and there. A green scotchbrite pad will clean it right up. The only part missing from this harness is the greaves(lower legs). The strapping is in great shape. Each individual piece is made of 16 gauge steel and is stout as can be. I will post pics of the actual items I have and then post a link to the item on MT's site so you can see the retail price for yourself. Bear in mind, shipping on something like this will probably run $80 dollars or so and it would ship in two or three boxes.
The gauntlets are very unusual. I have a specially made set of fully fingered mitten gauntlets. The fingers are slipped into leather straps in the mitten to combine them. They are similar to the Avant harness.
I have 2,516 dollars worth of armour here. Used armour is no longer worth quite that much maybe, but it is worth a significant amount. Will sell outright for $1600.Shane Smith
