I have beautiful .45 octagon-to-round colerain rifle barrel. Unfortunately I got the .45 caliber when I really wanted the .54 caliber. If anyone has the .54 version and wants to swap let me know. Otherwise I'm looking for $200. PM me if interested,
Dan

Back up for sale. Still really looking for the big bore version, but would still consider a straight sale or possibly a trade for other A&A items.
PM if interested,
Dan

For those of you who've asked, here are a few pics.
Here's a full shot, showing the swamping.

Here's the breech end.

and here's a shot of the wedding band transition from octagon to round.

PM me with any questions.
Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Just thinking of getting into making a gun and was wondering what sort of piece you had in mind for this barrel when you bought it as just looking at the barrel I am sort sure what period it would be suited to.

Any thoughts would be great.

Hi Leo,
I was/am intending on building an early colonial (1740-60) Virginia style longrifle with many fowler influences.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Dan
