Ewart Oakeshott gives the description of a sword that he found at the Westminster Abbey. This sword had been lost and sitting in a chest for years, and after taking care of the weapon Oakeshott believed it to be the sword that hung for many years above the tomb of
Henry V.
There are a few companies that have made replicas of this sword, but only Arms & Armor has made their recreation directly from Oakeshott's notes. This is a wonderful sword to hold. It is very quick, and balances both cut and thrust easily, although it does not really excel at either form of attack. The replica is not a perfect recreation of the original sword due to factors of keeping the price affordable, but it still captures the essence of an early 15th century or even late 14th century single hand sword quite nicely. Arms & Armor also made the leather scabbard and belt.
