Del Tin 2156 Rondel Dagger
Original: Circa 15th century
Another
rondel dagger by Del Tin, this appears to share the exact same blade as the DT2155 with different hilt components. In fact, this dagger feels almost exactly the same.
This dagger could have been used either in or out of armour as a backup weapon. Medieval fighting manuscripts often detail very sophisticated fighting styles with this weapon sometimes held tip down in the "ice pick" grip, or tip up in the "ham fisted grip", and this dagger feels natural in either position. The spiral-carved grip is easy to hold and does not slip, though it is circular in cross-section and therefore one cannot feel edge alignment without looking. The brass accents are very attractive and add to an otherwise plain "just business" look.
