Custom ATRIM 1314 Type XII/XIV "tweener"
Gus described this as a "tweener" as he felt the blade type was somewhere between a type XII and a XIV. This was his first sword intended to have a permanent peened handle and with a more historically correct 4.5 "grip. The two historical blades that served as my inspiration can be seen in "Records of the Medieval Sword" by Ewart Oakshott, XII.1 on page 66 and XII.15 on page 84.

The grip and scabbard are by Christian Fletcher and this actual blade is on display on his website in 13th - 14th c swords.

The stats;

Overall Length 39.5"
Grip Length 4.5"
Blade Length 32.25"
Blade width at cross 2.25"
Center of Percussion 22"
Point of Balance 5.25"
Approximate Weight 2 lb 7 oz

Customization;

Modified type 6 guard
Peened assembly
Facets, bands and fine cord grip in red

Scabbard;

dark blue leather
custom shaped throat
1 pair incised lines
sword fuller outline
12th/13th c integral suspension

Current replacement cost per Christian Fletcher's site = $1115

FOR SALE @ $700.00 PLUS shipping and insurance

Please, all communication by PM. Photos by e mail on request

Thanks for looking!
