Hey All...
I am trying to raise money to update the audio-visual equipment I use in my classroom. I need to sell several of my swords to do this. I am offering the Paul Chen Godfred Viking Sword that I customized last year. The pommel, upper and lower guards have been completely reshaped, decorated and re-etched. The grip core has been reshaped and stabilized. It was then bound in sterling silver wire with chain accents at the top and bottom surrounded by chevrons of twisted copper wire. The tip of the blade and the end of the fuller have been reshaped to look more like period originals. The fuller has been engraved and etched to look like two bands of pattern-welded steel in a chevron pattern. The more random Damascus pattern was etched along the edges and resembles the patterns seen in the edge material of some original Viking swords.
Here are the measurements:
Weight: 2 pounds 1 ounce
Overall Length: 34.9 inches
Blade Length: 28.75 inches
Blade Width: 1.9 inches
Fuller: 0.75 inches
Guard Width: 3.5 inches
Grip & Pommel: 5.5 inches
Grip Length: 4.4 inches
Point of Balance: 4.3 inches from guard
Center of Percussion: 18 inches from guard
