Full title: Le Armature di S. Maria delle Grazie di Curtatone di Mantova e l'Armatura Lombarda del '400
This is one of the rarer titles in the pantheon of arms and armour books. It was published by Bramante in 1982 in a limited edition of 2,000 copies (this is #1113). It covers Lombardic armour of the 14th-15th centuries generally as well as a specific deposit of harnesses in a church in Mantova (Mantua). That deposit is one of the largest collections of armour of that region/era in the world. Text is in Italian. There are over 530 pictures (black and white and quite a few in color) of armour, period art, and the occasional weapon, plus around 200 line drawings and photos of armourer's marks. Overall, it's right about 300 pages.
Condition is very good. Nearly new in my opinion. The cloth bound book itself is in great shape. The dust jacket is in great shape as well. No damage that I can see to either. It comes with an undecorated cardboard slipcase (not pictured) in very good shape.
This title is hard to find and expensive when you can find it. I'm not aware of any other copies out there for sale at the moment.
Asking $435 or best offer plus shipping. Paypal preferred. Trade offers (especially from makers) will be entertained. This would be a great Christmas gift for the arms and armour lover in your life (or for yourself!).
