Hello all,
This is another tough listing, but I'm looking to apply funds from this to another custom project. This is a (large) custom rondel dagger made by A&A. It's based on a piece in the Museo Nazionale Del Bargello in Florence, Italy. The overall length is right at 2 feet, making it more like a short sword than a dagger in use. It would be a great bit of kit for a billman, archer, or gunner, though there is period art that shows really big daggers such as these used as knightly sidearms, too.
Steel rondels and blade. Brass buttons on the "pommel" and thick spiral brass wires on the wood grip. With lightly tooled leather sheath, also by A&A. More pics and info can be found in my collection gallery and in this review. It's been used against light targets like pool noodles and against the occasional pumpkin. Still as sharp as it was from the factory. Pics below are from the review. It doesn't look any different now, but updated pics are available on request.
