For sale is a late 1800s/early 1900s cut and thrust sword of a type used during the 30 Years War.
The fittings are brass that have been silver plated or nickled. Blade is good steel that is well tempered and springy and is still edgy and could be sharpened to a much higher degree. It has a splendid distil taper.
I have replaced the original grip that I will include. It once was probably chord wrapped, but that is all gone. The grip I put on is a slightly oversized one I made for a different project. It is nicely turned from padauk that as you can see has gone a deep red.

Overall is 45" with a 39 1/2" blade.
POB is at 4 3/4"
Weight is about 2.5 lbs
Very fast and easy to handle. Is a nice example of swords from an era that is seldom reproduced.

No sheath. $250 with $20 shipping CONUS
