Hi Folks.
I'm selling this nice double-fuller 13th century arming sword to make room for another one from Maciej. This is my 3rd sword based on the original River Witham sword housed at the British Museum in London. The others were the Oliin Hart Sword and the Albion Vigil. Compared to the Vigil, this one is a bit longer in the grip, and the blade is slightly longer, thicker and stiffer, with slightly more profile taper. The edge geometry is sharp and quite robust. Like all of Maciej's swords, it looks and feels very authentic, but has a rougher finish than Albion or A&A products. As to which of the above swords was better, it's a matter of taste, but I would date this one later in the 13th century. I'd say it's built to take on heavier armor than the Vigil.

I am the first owner, and it has only been used for display and light (non-contact handling).
It comes with the matching wood core / brown leather scabbard & belt, which is one of my favorites. It's simple and sturdy, with unobtrusive but elegant decoration. A fighting man's sword and scabbard.
Given these difficult times, I'm going to price this combo reasonably at 1150 USD. That includes paypal charges and shipping by Canada Post / USPS within North America. So far as I can tell, there are no current issues shipping within North America.
Regards, JD
