I’m looking for inexpensive 19th-century military swords, full or piquet, especially British infantry ones with plain finish, no etching. P1827, 1853, 1897, etc. I am fine with rust, patination, and evidence of heavy use as long as the hilt is solid and tight, like the “project swords” that Matt Easton occasionally offers up. There was a piquet weight sergeant’s sword on SBG a while back for under $100, and that’s exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for.

Note: for those of you with whom I have discussed acid antiquing in the past, please rest assured I only do that stuff to replicas. With genuine antiques, I just maintain and protect the real patina, I don’t mess with it.

Please PM me to discuss.

I am in the US so let's keep it within North America, please.

Thanks!
Chris
