For sale is a fine antique German infantry broadsword with clamshell and Toledo blade. Dating to about 1580, this sword retains an intact original wire grip in fine condition. All parts are original. Blade measures about 30 inches and shows evidence of repeated sharpening throughout working life. Blade has proof marks of Toledo guild. Has thumb ring. All parts are in strong, stable condition.
