Purchased in the late 1990s, this was one of Windlass’ higher quality swords. The guard and the fluted pommel appear to be silver plated and covered with an invisible clear coat to prevent tarnishing. The sword was certainly priced in the mid to upper $200 range back then.
The sword is 40.4” long with a 33 inch blade that’s 2” wide at the hilt. The CoG is approximately 4.2” and the sword weighs 3.32 lbs. The cross guard is 8.25” wide. The sword is in outstanding condition with absolutely no flaws. The protective coating has been removed from the blade, erasing all traces of the “INDIA” mark.
