Well katar daggers have been something I've found a small intrest in. Mainly because mediocre quality examples like these 2 are fairly affordable. Have to sell these two to fund future nihonto purchases.
First one is a scissor katar, that is called Jamadhar Sehlikaneh in India. This has been purchased from Oriental Arms, and it dates to the end of 19th century. The scissor katar was more of a novelty item than actual fighting weapon. In decent shape, condition can be seen in pictures. There is some fine detailing in the middle of outer blades. In one of my books this type of detailing is described as silver koftgari decoration of the poorest quality.
Whole length: 38,5 cm
Outer blades: 19,5 cm
Inner blade: 17,4 cm
Second one is more traditional shaped. It has long narrow blade that has high central ridge. Unfortunately the blade is bit bent, and there is a small crack in the handlebar. This has been bought from English antique shop, and I believe it dates to the end of 19th century.
Whole length: 43,8 cm
Blade length: 25,2 cm
Price: 400€ for both, that includes shipping in Europe and PayPal fees. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal.
