This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available

Older Windlass Type O sword. Sharp 31 inch blade. Sword weighs in at 2LB 12 OZ,

Lively sword in VG condition.

Blade is Damascus with highly polished edges to simulate a pattern welded blade. The pattern only shows in the fuller. The hilt will polish up like a new penny, if you prefer shinny.

I am the second owner of this rarely seen sword today.

I have to downsize and will give it a brief time to find a new home.

$350 shipped. Check or MO please.

I have had several ask how or if it is peened. Good Question. As stated the pommel is copper, Remembering that this is an old sword, there is a hammer blow on the middle of the pommel where a Peening mark would be.

But as shown in the photo everything is copper. A regular magnet will not stick to the hilt at all. A super strong rare earth magnet will show a very slight attraction to the hilt, but not enough to stick. It may be picking up the steel running though it.

So I don't know what to say. It MAY be peened through the hilt but I think in the case it may be screwed on. I just don't know for sure. as I no longer have use of an x ray. Sorry.

I have been told that it indeed peened through the bottom of the pommel, then the top press fitted over it.
