This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
Up for sale is the very rare Armi e Armature Italiane: Fino al XVIII Secolo, by Aldo Mario Aroldi (Milano: Bramante Editrice, 1961).
At 547 pages, this is a huge book. Like the others in the 'Armi e Armature' series, this one is hardback in green cloth, in a solid slipcase featuring period artwork.
While the text is in Italian the text section comprises just the first 117 pages; this is followed by hundreds of pages of photos in both black and white and colour.
Contents covers armour, swords, daggers, shields, horse armour, crossbows, firearms, and more.
This book is very good condition. Binding is slightly loose at the front, but this doesn't affect reading, and could be easily fixed with a judicious small application of glue.
Price is USD $397.50 firm plus postage/shipping and insurance at cost. Payment by PayPal or direct deposit.
This book is in Australia, meaning postage to Australian buyers will be very reasonable. I'm happy to ship anywhere in the world by courier, with full insurance. The book is very heavy so shipping would be considerate.
This book doesn't come up very often, and usually sells through specialist dealers between $425 and $500 (and more).
Please feel free to PM if you have any questions.
Please note that I'll be able to respond to messages - and post/ship this sword - until Tuesday 6 May. I'll then be away until Monday 12 May. I'm keen to sell before Tuesday; any enquiries after this day will be replied to on or after the 12th.
