Hello,
I am moving out for work and have decided to sell part of my collection to help finance the adventure. So I am offering them here to fellow collectors before putting them on ebay.
This is a Flyssa which was used mostly in Algeria and Morocco and as you can see is a variant of the Yataghan which could have been used by Barbary pirates.
You often see flyssas in their later form, the one with the metal handle and very pointy tip. This one is an earlier example probably from the early to mid 9th century, more akin to the yataghan with a simple wooden grip. A fine combat sword.
I am asking 500$ for it.
