This Deltin sword has been in my possession for about a decade. It has a leather and wire wrapped grip that is still in very good condition wit ha bit of wear. I have done a lot of test cutting with it and it has always done well for me. It has only required periodic oiling and a re-peening of the pommel on occasion.

It is sharp and the blade has no serious defects but does have some light scratches that any sword gets from actual cutting. The edge may need some cleaning up if that sort of thing bothers you. These flaws will all polish out if you decide to do so. Since I used it for cutting only, I never worried about it.

This sword retails for over $400 now and was in the mid three hundred dollar range when I bought it back in my earlier fencing days. This sword is far from new, but it is also in completely functional condition with just a bit of cosmetic "character". If you need a good one-hander to practice cutting with regularly, this is a fine candidate for you.

This next sword is an Italian -made carbon steel sword that has been in my possession for a few years now. It has a leather wrapped grip that is still in very good condition. It has a peened on pommel and the steel blade is properly tempered.

I bought this as an early Deltin sword and the blade is marked to show it is Italian and it sure does look like every Deltin blade I've ever seen. It does not say "Deltin" on it though as the other sword I have listed does. I believe it was probably an early version of the Deltin 2132 sword. You can do a google search and judge for yourself.

I was told by the prior owner that this sword was used in a Hollywood prop house and he says the tape with the description was on it when he bought it. I left it on the sword as this one I just hung up for the cool factor. This sword is far from new, but it is also in nice condition with just a bit of cosmetic storage "character". This sword has never been sharpened.
