Hello all
Could someone help me with recognition of an Halberd?
is it real or reproduction? what era or nation? and what value could it have?
wood part is new
thank you all
The S-shaped edge of the ax is typical of Saxony, but the upturned beak is not functional. My first thought is an 18th century segeant's "weapon" used as a badge of rank on the parade ground. I'll dig out Helmut Nickel's article to see if I can find anything close. Are the edges sharpened at all?ferrum ferro acuitur et homo exacuit faciem amici sui
