Hello all!
So, I thought I'd finally open this up to the myArmoury community, especially since this has been my primary source of information regarding swords and their manufacturing. That said, I've begun a stock removal project. The finished piece will be a type XIV blade. I'm looking at an R type pommel; I'm aware that the k would be more appropriate, but I feel it us less interesting. Below is a photo of the blade blank. Further bulletins as events warrant.

I'm eager to see this project! I know of very few reproductions with the Type R pommel.
