This listing is marked SOLD and is no longer available
I have just returned home from a lengthy deployment to the Middle East, and in my absence; I obtained quite a few items for my collection which I have decided not to keep for this or that reason. In this case, I have 6 Type XIIa swords, so I chose to sell this Albion Baron.
Now, if you want a brand new Baron that looks like is just came off the production line, this sword will not be for you. This Baron was purchased antiqued, meaning that it has discoloration/patina added to it. The overall appearance is an older sword which has been taken care for a couple generations. The only thing I have done to this sword was buffed the patina off the cross emblems on the Type K pommel to give the design a little more aesthetic appeal and contrast.
None of the patina effects this swords integrity - it is cosmetic only. The sword is just as solid as any other Albion Baron, with a factory razor sharp appleseed edge and rings with a deep bell tone with struck. It cuts just as well and feels just as good in the hand as a non-antiqued Baron. The sword would restore completely if someone wanted to make it look new, by investing time and effort to refinish it - with alot of elbow grease, grey Scotch Brite pads, and metal polish. However, I like it just as it is - and had I decided to keep this sword in my collection, I would have left it as it is right now.
If you want a solid Baron, or a Baron you would like to restore or customize to your liking - this one is perfect for you. I am asking 50% of the swords retail cost - $500.00 USD (firm/no trades), shipped free to CONUS only. I will accept Paypal for payment. Write me here via PM for details.
Thank you for viewing!
