This is something we're thinking about getting in to. This is basic but we can certainly spruce it up. We plan to add black leather around the edges. These are something for Ren Faire Costumes and for display. I don't plan to make them SCA certified at this time, but maybe in the future.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The shield looks very interesting and appears to have nice dimensions. Could you describe the materials used? The lion rampant appears to be applied in some manner, how did you manage this? A photograph of the back would be great.

If these are to be for display/costume use, I personally wouldn't edge them; they'll look better without. Also, unless they're just temporary, get rid of the nuts-and-bolts on the enarmes and use rivets instead. Other than that, I like it. :)
